2008 Truxx Level Kit Question

I have an 08 Z71 Crew Cab and I've ordered the Truxx level and lift kit. Anyone ever done this on an 08? Do you need the torsion clamp? Also how is the ride since you've installed the kit? I've heard that the shocks do not have enough room to adjust.

 

Any help with this would be great. Thanks

You don't have torsion bars in your 1500 anymore. They are struts. Your just installing spacers and it doesn't hurt your ride at all. Could have done the same thing for $59 from RC.

59 bucks?? wow. I paid 230 for the front and back kit. From the sounds of it, it seems pretty simple to install.

If anyone has any responses please feel free to add...I'm anxious to get this under the truck and get wheels/tires. Can 33x12.5 fit under a 2008 2.5" ift in front and 1" back??

Well you do have torsion bars, but the kit you have I believe (if it's like the RC one) Are just plates that go under the bottom of the strut mount, not too bad to install. Just do some searching, there are tons of install threads, and if yours is like the rough country, then you can look at other brands too. Also be sure to have it aligned, or your tires won't be too happy

Well the RC kit gives you a 2" lift up front to level the truck, from the sounds of your kit, you get the spacers for the front and rear to get a little "Bigger truck" look.

Will do. I'll try to send some before and after pics. Do you know if 33's will fit or little less...32's? and is 12.5 to wide?
