Service Airbag, Where Do I Start Looking Before Going To Dealer?

Hi, I am quite a busy person that needs my car on a regular basis so I have very little time to go to the dealer. Today, I got a service air bag message on my DIC on my 2007 Escalade with 75k miles.

 

My steering controls still work but where can I start looking to pinpoint the problem here?

no where it needs to be scanned and diag'd,

 

check owners manual for air bag system fuses and thats it ,take it in

Unfortunatly you're going to need to get the code before you really can go anywhere. It could be as simple as a loose wire or bad impact sensor. or it could turn into something big (expensive).It's not a complicated system,but it could be a dangerous one.What a wonderful government policy,install explosive devices 1 foot away from consumers That's safety for 'ya

Some dealers will charge for a whole hour. My dealer will only charge 36 bucks, but I go to church with the service manager so it was free. It will take all of 2 minutes to get the code that will tell you where the problem is at. Then we can tell you how to fix it.
