Truck Came In Today!!

After trying to keep up with where in the build/ship procedure it was... the dealer called today and said it arrived last night.

Hopefully, will get to pick it up today.

Congrats!!! Have you snuck down to the dealer to see it yet? That didn't take long at all... what was the total time from the order date?

I could not be any happier with this truck! It is exactly what I wanted and needed. I paid $1,000 over invoice. I got $3,000 dollars off in rebates, too.

I left the truck this AM to be prepped and sprayed with SpeedLiner bedliner. We don't have a Line-X or Rhino, etc., here. Everyone who has dealt with this person was very positive. He preferred to leave it overnight and for me to get it tomorrow AM. I will take to for step bars and Husky mud flaps in the AM and Michelin LTX-AT's tomorrow after lunch and plan on tinting the driver an passenger windows to match the extended cab side windows, tomorrow PM, too. Saturday I plan to weld a stainless custom bracket for a CB antennna to get a factory look like SoMnDuramax did. And, mount the toolbox. And, mount the underseat storage box under the rear seats. And, finally get some Zaino on it.

It came with factory bed caps and tailgate caps in black plastic. I was going to use diamond plate aluminum, but for now will stick with these.

For what time I got to drive it, it is a strange feeling to overcome the tendency to feel like you are going to hit something for sure and then not come close. It had 7 miles on the odometer at delivery.

The dealer here is small and they were afraid to order any with the additional cost. The owner of the dealership test drove and parallel parked it and was just grinning. He said they were going to order a few trucks and I believe a couple of 3/4-ton SUVs with it--I think the SUVs with it currently are the 3/4-tons. A doctor was there with his wife to look at an Envoy or a Yukon, I am not sure, and saw the truck being driven around. After seeing it, they decided to order "whatever SUV it was available on".
