6.0 Intermittent Loss Of Power

Our 2001 HD 6.0 will sometimes lose power. It will run a little rough and if you give it some gas it will barely move. It is not giving any Service lights. If you restart the truck by removing the key and restarting, it will go back to normal.

 

As a side note, another issue is while the truck is running the fuel gage will drop to nothing for few minutes and then return, not really causing any harm, just confusion. Not sure if this may be related.

 

Hopefully some of you have some insight.

From what i know the fuel pump also sends the fuel level to the cluster. Maybe a fuel pump issue??

Try swapping the fuel pump relay with the horn relay. Possible bad connection in the relay??? Just an idea!
