jwhelan65 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I put replaced my stock wipers with Bosch evolutions. In a word, they suck! Streaks and stuttering and jumping all over. Next pair will come from the dealer. Could not agree more, I have had mine 6 months and they are peeling at the seem
Mossyoakglock Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 What brand are OEM and about how much do the run at the dealer?
jwhelan65 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 What brand are OEM and about how much do the run at the dealer? I think I saw someone post here that they are $20 each, if so I may head that direction..
sonjaab Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I too had a problem finding QUALITY "pinch mount-beam style" blades for my 07 gmt-900. The "trendy and $pendy" brands at the big box parts places sucked! The dealer had their OE expensive replacements also. I found better replacements at the local NAPA parts house. They also carry the rubber covered winter blades that us folks in snow and ice land need for winter time fun!
jwhelan65 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I have searched and read through several threads on this topic and it appears that the OEM replacemests seem to be the way to go.
RJG183SA Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Just this week I installed a set of Trico NeoForm's on my truck and my wife's Regal. Yesterday I noticed a very slight whistle around 40-45 mph with the window down, radio off. Windows up undetectable. Not sure if it intensifies at higher speeds or not. Quite as a mouse on the Regal. They do perform well on both, quiet, chatter and streak free. I purchased them from www.wipers123.com. Got a great deal. $67.42 for the two pair. Free shipping plus a $20.00 mail in rebate. They sell other types with varying rebate offers, expires 11/2012. FYI, the rebate form was sent to my email after finalizing the transaction , the next day me thinks.
RyanbabZ71 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I am a fan of the rain x latitudes Easy to install and last about 9-12 months before they start streaking Ryan
kstruckcountry Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I'm really happy with my Bosch wipers. They work well at speed, and with the washer fluid I use I've never had streaking. They do a pretty good job of knocking bug juice off as well
waumo1 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I'm using the Trico Neoforms with no problems. I highly doubt that GM makes wiper blades themselves....
508gm1 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I'm using the Trico Neoforms with no problems. I highly doubt that GM makes wiper blades themselves.... From my understanding Neoforms by Trico are the stock blades. I bough a box of them, and they are identicle to the stock ones. 22" P/N 16-2213
slimjim2525 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 There's only one name when it come to rubber. Either truck tires, motorcycle tires, or wipers. MICHELIN.
BigBlueLB756 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 These are for the Police Pursuit SUV's and really grip the windshield: http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?singlepart=1&partnumber=25877402
kgrumbach Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 There's only one name when it come to rubber. Either truck tires, motorcycle tires, or wipers. MICHELIN. I've always loved the Michelin tires I've had, but I bought some high dollar Michelin wipers and their the worst I've ever owned. Skip and noisy unless it's really raining hard. If it's misting they'll drive you nuts. I've tried cleaning the wipers and windshield good, but no luck. Since we had a drought this summer they didn't bother me much. LOL

Ianf Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I'm still on my first pair of OEMs with 32,000km on them and have been using the RainX washer fluid. They still seem to be good for a while yet. Hard to source the Trico's here and the OEMs are about $50 a pair. I have been looking for some time so I have a spare set when the originals finally give up the ghost. Two and Halve years so far on the OEMs and they are still performing after all the salt and slush in the winter and bugs and tar in the summer.
