Fuel Trims Wot?

Question

Posted

I just got a code scanner that lets me view live data for the truck (yuk xl 8.1L) also just replaced the fuel pump and took it for a 30min drive on the freeway cc @ 65-70mph.

When I go WOT the long trims seem to be in the 12-15 range.

What should they be? Are there other values that might be important to watch?

Truck seems to be running alot better with the new pump, but I am starting to get suspicous that a previous owner may have used a handheld tuner on this truck at some point. Any way to figure that out?

I would like to know this also. I haven't owned my truck very long. When I got it, it idled a little rough sometimes so I took it to the dealer and they replaced the mass airflow sensor. That issue was fixed, but now the truck lost a little power. The service ticket mentioned that the fuel trim was reset. So I figured it had a tune in it and the tech reset it back to stock. The power was very impressive before I took it in, now its just perky...
