4.10 Gear Ratio

No kidding on this, but I had a Jeep Wrangler 2007 4x4 4DR with a manual transmission right before I bought the 2500HD, but the best I could do on the gas mileage was 14.

Those jeeps get pretty bad gas mileage, as they have practically vertical windshields and are very boxy in general. As aerodynamic as a brick. And yet some people keep buying them in 4 door versions , loaded with everything, which is pushing the sticker price to high 30's. Not much discount on them either. The very idea of converting a Jeep Wrangler into a luxury 4 door SUV is stupid. Wrangler Rubicon short wheelbase model is the right approach. Both differentials are lockable on demand, and the low range ratio is about 4.5:1, or twice as low as in a regular Wrangler. This is important for rock crawling and other challenging off road maneuvers.
