4wheel doesn't engage-2004 Canyon

Okay, so's i take the Canyon to a GMC dealer & they diagnose & come up empty. The tech says it's in all probability the actuator. Told him my mechanic put a new one in & it didn't work & put the old one back in. I've had headaches with this truck since i bought it new in'04 . I've got a gut feeling that its the wiring . Please help , i'm at my wits end not to mention $$ Thanks .

Are you sure they plugged the actuator back in after swapping them out.

What does "amp" mean?

couldve been the wrong actuator or your 4x4 fuse is blown.go through your fuses easy check...

You may have broken shift fork in front left axil.Your dealer will not diagnose this.
