Life's a Beech! A Beechcraft 18 that is. I love those things. Is it yours? She is beautiful!

No, not mine... It's my father in law's. We're supposed to replace both engines and rewire the thing, but it's been almost a decade since it's been touched, so it's gonna be one of THOSE projects...

Repaired 2 Honda Accord keyFOBs asked for $15 but the guy only had $5, the 2 batteries alone cost me $11.48 taxes in, he said he'd come back with the rest, not holding my breath. Also repaired a 2005 Silverado cluster.

After it's third dealer visit the Android Auto finally works.

Question, did you get a new phone and it doesn't agree, or did randomly stop after it it had been working with the same phone?

I got a new phone in November and AA just doesn't work in my Honda with it. My old LG still works fine. I found a post on xda where a guy from Honda HQ said there was a headunit error and a TSB was going to be released on a software update, but it never was.

I'm wondering is this is going to be an going issue, if so AA doesn't have a future if you have to rely on constant manufacturer updates. It's supposed to be a " common standard", and either the phone makers or auto makers(or both) are doing something wrong.

Problem is phone makers and probably automakers (haven't looked into auto side of android yet) ruin android by putting their garbage skins/overlays and crap on top of stock android to differentiate themselves from the competition.

It never worked in the truck.

1st visit was to have the update added as the early 2016 didn't come with it.

2nd visit it wouldn't connect they re-did the update no change.

3rd visit they cleared the entire radio and reprogrammed it with everything now it works.

Took time as I have a personal iPhone but have an Android for work. So I use the iPhone mostly but like the Android on it when I'm using the truck during work hours.

Somethings have to go to our off site locations.

So fare no issues I have a Samsung S7 running 7.0

Why replace? Just rebuild. Those are Pratt & Whitney WASP Jr. engines. Very sturdy suckers. Should still be enough folks out there that have the skill set and knowledge to help you with the rebuilds.
