Is there an easy way to add a splitter to the back trailer light connector?? If i want to use a light bar on the back end and have it work with my trailer hooked up. i looked underneath and the prong connector that comes on the truck looks wired all the way to the front. i was hoping there was a quick disconnect so i could add a splitter. they sell splitters, but i want something underneath out of the way.i have a 7 to 4 pin connector, but i can't do a light bar and the trailer at the same time with that.

i did, didn't see what i was looking for. real truck had some cool splitters, still didn't fit in with the stock connector. i don't want to be hard wiring if i don't have too.

What kind of connector does your trailer and light bar have? The one I listed is an inline with your 7 pin and branches off as a 4 pin so you have both connections available at the same time.

the one linked is exactly what you are looking for. You unplug the harness from the stock connector on the bumper and plug that harness in between. It leaves you with a 4 flat connector hanging off.

I have the same on on my truck. It gives you a 4 pin one and the 7 in the bumper is still useable. Works great.

how do you get the trailer plug apart to put the splitter on? i can't disconnect the plug from the bumper receptacle. theres a little grey lock that i slide, but nothing moves after that. i don't see any tabs to push or anything.

I don't recall but it was a tight fit I have had my bumper off twice
