how to remove air duct

hi,not much of a mechanic,but i figured i could change 6 plugs and wires on my 2002 silverado,well can't get good access to distibuter cap without removing air duct fron top of throttle body(hope that's what it's called)it has what looks like a plastic wingnut,broke off one of the wings it won't turn,is this what holds the air duct in place,how do i remove this big ole plastic piece?
