2006 gmc sierra c1500 rubbing/thumping noise when breaking and turning

96000 miles. I replaced my brake pads couple weeks ago. Everything was fine for a while, then I noticed a thumping sound from the passenger wheel area when braking and accelerating immediately after a complete stop. Also when I'm turning into my driveway to park. I figured it was something I did when changing the pads or the caliper was sticking so I took the wheel off and checked everything. Cleaned all break parts, greased caliper, and looked at everything to make sure it was correct. All looked great. Still have the noise. Wondering if it is CV, steering box, pitman arm, tie rod, wheel bearing assbly, etc but not sure how to diagnose. I did the wiggle test side to side and up and down and have no play. In park I can turn the wheel from end to end and there is no noise. Soon as I put in drive, with foot on the brake, turn wheel from end to end and it makes the noise.

check the hub again ,,check the cv joints ,,,get a buddy to help if you're having trouble

lift tire off the ground and at 12 1nd 6 oclock ,pull in and out ,,,if the hub is done you'll feel it ,,,,,,wheels on the ground ,engine off ,have a buddy wiggle steering wheel back andd forth while you check the tie rod ends, pitman and idler arms by grabbing both the joint and where it mounts ,if there is play ,you will feel it and see it ,use a very good light

ball joints ,tire off the ground ,raise lower control arm,(dont hang the suspension,) bar under the tire and raise up and down, other hand on top of tire to feel any movement ,if movement is found look (with buddy help)with a light at which ball joint has movement

there are lots of threads here on the subject of hubs ,,,dont throw parts at the truck
