My new 2014 Sierra mods: RC 2/4 drop, wheels, tint

Hey Chris,

I just had my 2014 Silverado lowered today on the Rough Country 2/4 lowering kit. Did you get any vibrations at 25mph? I am not sure if it is the off road tires that came on the truck or if the pinion angle is off. I will be putting on my Caddy 22s from my Avalanche and give my wife these 20s...lol. Tell me what you think. Sorry pictures are to big to post.

I PMd ya, but to answer for the rest here was my reply...

Yes, I had major vibrations. I did 4 degree shims and that took care of most of it. I have a small vibration at initial start up from 1-5mph and then another around 52-55mph. I'm also hearing about a possible drive shaft recall that have given all these trucks a vibration. Not sure if that is what I'm feeling now or what.I might order some 6 degree shims and try those. I know I'm going to play hell with GM since I lowered mine but a recall shouldn't matter, just waiting to hear.

Chris, I had that vibration at 20-25 and at 50-55. Guess what? No more shakes so far. They had to put a 8 degree in along with 1/2 inch spacer on the transmission mount. On the drive home everything seems to be working like it is suppose too. I will get to put it on the highway in the morning to test it out. Are you going to put a speaker box under your back seat? I currently have (4) 10s under mine. Next stop is 24s or 26s. I still can't get my pictures to load because they load bigger than 1MB.

I agree, looks like you're running on rubber bands. Potholes will not be your friend!
