Adding Aftermarket Sub/Amp

@Ge0rge, HDPE is not wood. Near strong as steel in this application. I understand the opinions on the “in an accident” scenarios, but in having looked at a few of these kits around the internet. I think these pucks are a far better option than what some companies are selling.

@Kyleorsini, I do have a crew cab. It is in a sealed box, I had an idea for a ported box that would extend under the seat toward the drivers, but decided against it because I wanted the tighter bass of a sealed box, and i suppose overall it leaves me with a bit more under seat storage. I have just shy of 1.2 cu.ft. in the box as is.

I am sure its strong and will work. However insurance companies will use whatever they find altered against you. It really is not an hdpe vs others conversation, it is an hdpe vs what was deemed safe by the crash test results.

Hello, I just added a Rockford Fosgate P300T-10 to my 2018 Double Cab and wanted to contribute some information.

My truck has the BOSE system WITHOUT SUB.

For Remote, i attached a spade connector to remote wire and attached in driver's side fusebox. There is an open terminal to the left of the 50AMP fuse that is used for the 12V outlets. Look carefully, its there.

For the speaker inputs, I tapped into wires on the BOSE amp on the back wall. The connector all the way on the right.

Right Front + : Yellow/Black

Right Front - : Yellow

Left Front + : Brown/Blue

Left Front - : Blue

Please be aware that this unit can handle both low and high level speaker inputs, in my case these are high level inputs.

I spent three solid days looking for this information until I ultimately wen't through each individual page on this thread and finally found it.

If you happen to have the version of Bose without the sub (like me), the wiring is a little different. I was able to grab a very clean signal from the front door speakers. I had trouble finding any wiring info, so here it is if anyone needs it.

These wires are all in the farthest driver's side harness.
