How can I tell if I have remote start equiped on my truck

I have a 2005 gmc sierra and want to know how to figure out how to tell if I have the remote start option available.

what about a 2013. i saw on one of the part sites they said just needed the gm transmitter fob to make it work . just trying to find out before i have an aftermarket remote start installed

05 did not have the the option for factory remote start

If it did, then the quick test is when you go to start the truck, turn the key to start and let go, if you have remote start, the engine will turn over until the it starts - you don't have to hold the key in the start position.
