Intellilink - voice prompt, weather, plus other things..

2014 GMC STL / W NAVI

 

1. So I changed the voice prompt to "short" instead of the default which is "long" Worked fine... I turned the truck off .... 30 min later tried again and still worked fine. Next day it went back to the default "long" prompt on it's own. Any ideas?

 

2. Weather map. How do I get the complete screen to show just the area, without the stuff at the bottom... hour, by hour, 36 hour, etc, etc. I thought I did it once by accident playing around one time. But can seem to get it to come up again.

 

3. Traffic alerts - I set up so it does NO traffic notifications in the set of area of navi. Yet I still get "road closer" or "road construction" voice notifications when I drive in certain places. Any idea on how to turn this off completely. Maybe it's a safety thing we cant shut off.

2. Canada doesn't get the weather app for some reason (wtf right?)

3. I hated the voice telling me about construction that wasn't even there on my drive to work everyday! Eventually turned the voice notifications off and the voice volume all the way down, seems to do the trick.

 

It would be nice if we could fully customize the Intellink, like add different apps, customize backgrounds, more control over certain features, etc.

Does anyone have any idea if there are other apps available for the Intellilink? Seems to me there's plenty of room on the screen. I read the owners manual and didn't find any info on it...
