Mirror swap on a Sierra 2500 HD

I have the regular small 1500 mirrors that are power and heated on my Sierra 2500 HD. Can I swap them with the towing mirrors I generally see on 2500 HD models with out modifications of making them fit?

Yeah should be a direct replacement. The only difference is the tow mirrors aren't power folding

If power, GM# 19202235 for $460+tax and about an hour of time and you can do it. Bolt and plug right in.

When I bought tow mirrors for my '10 LT 1500 (power, manual fold) there were 2 power tow mirror models. 1 for the power, manual fold mirrors, the other that was a little more labor involved for the power fold mirrors (LTZ's & SLT's).

 

The LTZ/SLT version (if I remember correctly) needed a module installed (or replace one) in the door, and the BCM reprogrammed.

 

I just took those same tow mirrors off my '10 LT and reinstalled on our new '13 LT, no issues at all! Plug & Play!!!
