Intellilink quesion..can it control an iPod???

I was curious if the Intellilink system can remotely control an older iPod classic from the USB ports in the center console.

I have a 30 gig iPod in mine works just fine. It is the one with the color screen that can play videos, not sure what generation

My 1st GEN 8 GB IPOD has been working for more then a month with no issues

I've controlled both an iPhone 5 and 4, a iPod and an iPad, I'm think you would be fine.
