This is comical. you buy a shoebox car and you can have affordable nav...... you buy a 42k truck? you get onstar turn by turn for $15 a month unless you spend 50k for one with a nav unit already.......I'm happy for you guys who can afford that but damn GM..... how hard would it be to have this option on the trucks... Cell phone based nav isn't as good as a real system but it beats the hell out of onstar.

google maps will work for free - I get the google maps voice navigation piped through my truck headunit via bluetooth with my iPhone

my iphone GPS works just as good if not better then the nav in my truck

I have a Nokia cell phone which has built in NAV and free map updates and does not require data services at all. So basically free other than the cost of updating the software maps occassionally and the cost of the phone. The cheapest way to go.
