Hi everyone. It's not exactly a truck, but it is a body-on-frame vehicle that can tow up to 7000 pounds. I'm selling my '96 Cadillac on Craigslist and ebay. It has the factory tow package (RPO V4P) and a vehicle-specific Draw-Tite hitch. It's in great shape and has only been used to tow on one occasion for about 40 miles.

Have a look if you're interested.

Thanks!

Good luck with the sale!

Are you by chance the same David who's name shows up on the masthead of the copy of R&T I get each month?

so are you saying that i can safely tow 7000lbs with this car?

I'm saying that, because GM said it. I haven't towed 7000 pounds with it myself, but that's the rating as equipped. I usually don't approach the upper limits when pulling with a pickup, and I'd have the same approach here.

It is longer than a Suburban, though, so that has to count for something. :-)

Thanks! The auction is ending very soon here.

And I am in fact that same David from R&T. You may have seen the car in the magazine, actually.

Thought so. The photo towing the BMW looked familiar and was way too nice for a craigslist ad. Don't you know you're supposed to use a digital camera from 2001 on it's lowest resolution, at dusk for CL ads? ;)

I won't derail this for sale thread any more but I wanted to add that as someone who rents cars for business almost every week, the Rental Car Olympics thing you did with C&D a few years back: absolute journalistic gold. You know something is funny when the person next to you on the plane starts staring uncomfortably cause you're laughing so hard.
