Suction noise - Brake pedel

Recommended Posts

Posted

Today I have noticed a funny noise when pressing down on the brake pedal. It sounds like a suction noise. The best way I can describe it is, like a syphon pump for a kerosene heater. Only when pressing down on the pedal it makes the noise. Never on the way back up. I've looked under the dash and there is nothing rubbing. The brake fluid level is fine and the trucking is stopping as it should. I had the heat in the truck turned up to 80 with floor/vents on. I'm not sure if that would be related or not. Has anyone had a similar issue, if so was it corrected, and what was the cause. Thanks. I'll be stopping by the dealer if the noise persist.

Is the brake power booster the same as the master cylinder. Is the power booster the round cylinder on the fire wall.
