Too many options

I have a 2013 silverado Z71 crew cab with the 5.3 and a k&n cold air intake, and planning on installing a borla s-type exhaust. What is the best programmer to use with these options and the best quality because I don't want junk on my truck.

I didn't get the tuner just the monitor but I like the Edge products.... I look at my insight more than my gauges when driving the tuner is Evolution CTS in the pod.... Most on here will recommend a custom tune. I guess it's all what you're looking for.

I would like one that will put a little pep in it's step because I'm running 35 mud grapplers but I'm not trying to run the quarter. Don't need a lot of custom tunes just want to open up what Chevy gave it a little.

The 35's came with a good deal at the time when I needed tires, but you think the 33's would do better cause I really don't want to mess with a gear change.

On some of the other forums, either the Diablo Trinity or Intune tuner and a custom tune by http://www.diablewtune.com seems to be what a lot of folks are doing. I am considering the Diablo tune myself, but cannot get Lew to do a custom tune, as he doesn't work with E85. Diablo claims that their canned performance 93 octane tune works great with E85.

Lew has you put in the canned Diablo tune in your ride. Then you run it according to his instructions and then you download the log from the ECM via the tuner and send it to him. He then tweaks the tune to match exactly what would benefit your setup. He will do this several times until it is set up just the way you want it. The final tune is stored in the tuner, so if you go to the dealer and want to revert to stock, you can do that and then restore the custom tune later.

Putting gears in it will help the most. Make feel better than stock. Also getting gears will bring your gas mileage back. You can go with a tune but I recommend a custom tune with a reliable tuner. If you do go with a tune have CAI, and exhaust to see the best gains.

What gear ratio would you suggest, and to you know if it would affect mt warranty, I only have 9600 miles.

If your worried about gears on the factory warranty. Ask the dealership or the GM tech on here if putting gears in your truck will void your warranty. I don't know for sure. 4.56 gears last time check would get your fuel mileage back and power where it needs to be. Check for sure with the shop you go too that would be the correct gears you need. Ask the guy who put your lift on. He will know too.

I put the lift on, I work in a body shop I do suspension and frame work everyday but gears not so much. I'll ask a mechanic I know and get back with you.

4.27, 4.56, or 4.88 gears. I'm goin with 4.56 gears. To still have decent gas mileage and to tow a dozen times a year. Most people I been talking to say run 4.56 gears with the 6 speed transmission. Since I don't tow very much probably the best thing for me.
