What have you done to your K2 today?

Got my AJT designs key fob today and I decided to color fill the buttons. I was super tired of the crappy sticky rubber on the oem fob. This is great quality so far and is way thicker than the oem one. Not much bigger in terms of the footprint also.

Covered the wire in braided loom, ran it through the gaps in the body supports and zip tied it to a wire bundle behind the wheel well liner right up to the battery. Also, split loom would not fit all the way through the gaps but I ended up doubling it on top of the braided loom and pressed it as far as I could into each gap opening to have extra protection where it contacted metal edges.

Looks great! Very clean and professional. Got a link to the braided wire loom?

Picked up a U-Haul 6x12 trailer, last night.  Hauled our living room seating down to San Diego, today, and bringing mother-in-law’s living room seating back up to the Antelope Valley, tomorrow, in time to be off of I-15 before the Vegas rush.

Crossed 4500 as we were leaving San Diego (sitting at a light on Palm Ave fixing to turn onto I-5), crossed 4600 in Corona, CA, and am about to cross 4700 when I go to return the trailer tomorrow.

The attached videos are when we got home, and when we were done emptying the trailer.

Where did you get both the e-track bracket and the strap(s)?

got them at Princess Auto (Canadian version of Harbor Freight) but you can get it on Amazon or anywhere that sells trailer accessories.

I cut a bit of the foam carpet padding out and cut an  X in the carpet to fit snugly around the grommet.

That looks good. I actually ran my 2/0 welding wire through the firewall hole. I thought it would be really hard but wasnt too bad really. Actually fit in all the door channels too.

Swapped my black Denali grille for a black All-Terrain grille. Really happy with the look, I'm usually not a fan of chrome but the dark chrome on the AT grille really ties in the headlights.

I throw enough paint business at the dealer near me that they are redoing my Denali grille. It'll get completely stripped and recoated in black and clear coat. Let me know if anyone is interested in buying it off me. I'm sticking with the AT grille so the Denali grille will be in brand new condition!

Tried a few usb cables I had from other things to see if I could get Android Auto working in my truck. I figure I paid for it, I should figure out how to use the features. Anyhow, this fancy braided cable that didn't seem to want to work, worked just fine tonight. The cable had been showing the lightning bolt charging icon intermittently on the phone screen previously, but it was solid and seemed to work fine tonight. Heck if I know.

Nice truck, getting to do what it’s made for! A date with the garden hose (or pressure washer) and a cold beverage looks to be in your future ?

My 1500 next to my old mans 2500.  Over 50 years of driving Chevy trucks between us.  He's a lumberjack so he beats the crap out of his trucks and has never had any major problems in the hundreds of thousands of miles of offloading in his lifetime.

Bought one of these (Dorman 917-412 (tall) or Chevrolet Performance Oil Fill Tubes 12559505 (short)),

20181230_121000.thumb.jpg.f92467629f5a47f898d2e355e43e7f95.jpg

and modified it some to fit the Oil Filler hole of a 2018 Silverado

Now I get to pour oil into a level hole opening, rather than one tilted to 45°. Never understood why they removed these, or made them a non-interchangeable part at least.
