What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Put in a completely new exhaust, all from speed engineering.

Long tube headers
ARP stainless header bolts
X-Pipe, No Cats
3” True Duals
Straight through dual “mufflers”
Axle dump
New plugs (ACDelco)
New wires with fiberglass boots

The truck sounds like an absolute beast with this set-up. I’m adding dual Borla Pro XS mufflers to quiet things down a little.

I know, I know. Lol! I’m working on it. Gonna use a a Rode microphone to see if I can get a better representation of the sound rather than the typical smartphone clips you see. If I can get the iPhone to capture what it truly sounds like I’ll post it up today. I love it! It sounds so sick! But, as a daily driver with a young kid, it’s too much. Normal acceleration when the light turns green, just to keep up with other drivers, sounds like I’m making a run down the drag strip.

Not today, but not long ago, added some chrome (and red) accents, probably a few more coming for the interior:

That looks sharp, very factory looking. I take it you did it inside, where it was warm.

Thanks for the feedback.  I didn't bother pulling it into the garage to remove the caps which ended up being a mistake as i broke one of the clips.  In a bit of a cold snap and it was -21°c, the caps had a sheet of ice on them that I had to throw them in the sink of warm water to melt it all off.  There is no way you could of wrapped them outside the vinyl would be way to brittle and would just end up ripping.

Thinking I may do the B- pillars next just to get some more carbon on the outside.  Also considering doing the side plates on my sports bar.

A man from my own heart, lets impatience steer the boat to get stuff done, not even sure how cold -21C is, but it did not stop you. I am not sure about the pillars, seems like a bit much, maybe put it on loose at first just to get a feel for how it would look?

About minus 6 Fahrenheit but still too dang cold 🥶...if I didn’t have my window visors I’d probably give it a shot!

Got the title after paying the remainder of the loan off. Such a good feeling for just a piece of paper.
