What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Well I haven’t installed it yet, but got it in the mail today. Wife got me an LED tailgate light strip. She said it was $15 and knew I had been looking at them so why not?!? It’s a knock off brand but who cares at the moment so keep the negative comments to yourself. It seems pretty bright as I just hooked it up to ensure functionality. It has all the functions like turn signals and reverse lights too. Seems pretty sturdy and bright but we shall see how long it lasts. Here’s a few happy snaps. Will update after the install this weekend with some additional pics.

Yeah it’s awesome. She is on some deals page on Facebook and gets all sorts of wild deals. Nothing in particular just random stuff. She asked if I wanted it and got it for me. Hopefully it does work well for awhile. Like I said, we shall see.

Sounds pretty cool, did you happen to shoot a video of it to upload on the site?

The 2019 loaner I am driving has the power tailgate lock and lower. There is no provision to raise the tailgate, at least not on this LT. There is no tailgate "handle" either, just a push button in the middle of the piece of plastic that houses the back up camera lenses. Push the button and the tailgate  lowers slowly.

Any functions on the FOB for the tail gate? Not really liking how they have taken away so many options from each package on the 19's.

No matter how many times you wash that Pyrex dish, whatever food you cook in it, will still taste like crap.

I agree with @lapoolboy, your wife is going to kill you.  Mine would kill me, resurrect me, kill me again, resurrect me again, and kill me one last time, if I were lucky.

Yeah...if I had used her kitchen Pyrex I’d be polishing my own tailpipe :D but honestly I bought that little dish just for this...was $4.95 at Wally World. Here is a pic for size comparison

https://www.hptuners.com/product/new-gm-unlocked-t87a-tcms/
2017+ 10speed and 8speed.
I will say the for retail sales of unlocked TCM HPT is the only ones doing that at this time. Also nice to have 2 TCM modules. with the recall issues you can have a tuned one and  service one. HAHA
This is a bummer...

Been asked why not just use a water bottle. Answer is; I relocated my can(s) to the fender directly over the spare battery tray. I can not fit a water bottle under the can(s) so I was going to just use a aluminum pie pan. I found this in the same isle at Walmart and grabbed it. It fits perfectly in the battery tray, directly under the can(s). So I just lay this in there, open both drain valves, go have a coke or whatever and let it drain unattended. After about 10 minutes, I just close both valves, slide this out and I'm done. No mess, no babysitting the empting process. I put the lid on it to keep the results from spilling while waiting on disposal. Eventually I will empty this into my used oil container and take it to the recycle place up the road to dispose of it.

Well crap.....

Fog light bulb exploded and now I got a ton of glass in the assembly.

I get to take everything apart so I can dump glass out of assembly.

I tried using shop vac but couldn’t generate enough sealing to pull glass out.

Go to your hardware store and spend $2 on a 1’ section of clear tubing that’s cut to length. Tape that to the end of a shop vac and stick it in there to remove the glass. It’ll save you the trouble of removing everything. I donit on my dryer vent every once and a while. Works like a charm. Lol.
