it sounds like you are speaking from experience. Did we trash a mower blade or two after leaving "spare hardware" in the yard?

No hardware, it is always the hard dog toys that scare the S### out of me when I hit one.

It has been a super busy summer for me so far but I finally finished up some data logging and sent all of my files to BBP last night.

Now I'm like a kid that can't sit still waiting for Christmas morning. Really anxious to see what all the fuss is about BBP.

What kind of driving did you do for your logs? I have my stock tunes pulled and havent done any logging yet. I was thinking of doing some highway, some city and then doing some pulls from a stop. Like 25% 50% 75% and then 100% throttle. they say you need Wide open throttle for 3-4 seconds and the rest of the logs should be like 20-30 mins.

I did several logs. My issue is most of my driving is 85% highway so not a lot of stop and go with multiple shifts involved. So I made separate files that had some aggressive highway driving, some with cruise on and cruise off, and some driving like a grandma. Then I forced myself to go drive around town for an hour with the same scenarios; aggressive driving, driving like a grandma, using cruise and not using cruise. Attempted to do some hard deceleration to kick in the hard downshifting for the log. Fast acceleration from a stop and fast acceleration while passing to get it to skip and gear search when speeding up. Tried to recreate all of the scenarios I was hoping for them to be able to see in the log files. I did run 1 log file using higher octane fuel just to see what it did different with my air to fuel mixture ratios. Several on-ramp drives were WOT to hit the 3-4 second marks they requested. Most log files I had were about 40 minutes long with some shorter 20 minute logs when in stop and go traffic. Tried to go for an all encompassing data set.

Disclaimer; By aggressive I in by no means I was being unsafe or endangering anybody else. Safe driving is always a must. I am just aggressive in terms of getting out of the way, watching for other people, and avoiding being around anyone that looks like they could cause an accident.

I picked my truck up from the shop yesterday after having this Circle D converter put in. I also had them install this dipstick that I got off of eBay and changed the fluid over to Amsoil. So far, it's a significant improvement over the factory converter. I'm still waiting on the initial correction from BBP, then I'll datalog and have them get it more dialed in.

So your the one who swiped that dipstick a few days ago! Well I'm glad the circle D converter is working well, I've been planning the same thing for my truck too, glad to see it's the right combo.

(I had PMd the seller about it fitting the K2, as I only read it was installed on a T1. I didn't hear back for several days and when I did, you had bought it 20 minutes before I saw the message! It's all good because I PMd him again to ask for another to be posted for purchase, and mines already here, so no harm no foul! Haha)

Hah! Yeah, I'd been watching each one that he'd listed for over a year at this point, and each time I didn't get around to buying quick enough. Since I was doing the converter, I wanted to have the dipstick too so hopped right on it when I saw he had one listed. Glad he got another one up for you pretty quick after I grabbed that one. From the look of it, it's a bit difficult to reach compared to the typical factory dipstick on the 4l60e and 6l80e.

Gotcha. I haven't gotten mine installed. But I also wanted to ask if you had done the fluid change from the factory dexron vi to the Mobil 1 lv atf hp fluid. Apparently that's what will keep the factory converter from stabbing 2nd. Curious if you had this before and don't any longer, and why you went with amsoil over Mobil 1

I had the fluid change done at 63k miles after the shudder showed up at 61k miles. The 1-2 was always bad even with the "good" fluid. I've made the switch for all fluids to Amsoil over the last year since it's true 100% synthetic. The trans was the last thing to make the swap, which was only because I was waiting for the new converter.

I did about 100 miles today while working, and even without the updated tune file, it drives so much better than factory. Not once did it clunk or slam into 2nd.

@DenaliStone Nice. Ill just get the amsoil for the trans. What is the exact amsoil atf you bought? Link?

also i was curious how accurate the dipstick was for the transmission once installed. i know a fluid and filter change is 7.5 qts, and 11 or so with a Torque converter replacement

So today I installed the Zone Offroad fender plates, I debated doing this for a couple weeks and finally made my mind up, my tires didn't rub that bad but it bothered me a lot. It was really hard to get a die grinder out and make that initial cut but it's now done and I'm very happy with the results, no more rub in either direction and you can't even tell there was anything done to it. On all of the videos I've seen about doing the Norcal mod everyone just sprays a little spray paint in there and calls it a day, I bought some POR15 and put on three thick coats with a brush over all the exposed cut metal. If anyone is considering this for tire rub, go for it you'll be glad you did. The only reason I went with the Zone plates over the Rough Country plates was the directions were better in my opinion, and there was a good video on Youtube as well, they are both basically the same thing though. I'd post some pics but there isn't really anything to see lol. I will say this, there is at least 5/8 of an inch of clearance now.
