Nice!

Those should sound great! I am focusing on SQ with this current build. The CDT speakers I installed are actually 2" overall is 2.75 in the factory mount with a little wiggle room.

The smaller the speaker the better the clarity due to less cone and distortion.

I'm no audiophile pro but I have been studying the pros on a forum and learn a decent bit of knowledge.

Additionally, I made some enclosures for the dash speakers. Followed the pros and used ductwork insulation foam tape.

The factory mount is wide open. On the backside. These aftermarket speakers like an enclosure, so closing off the mount should yield some decent clarity big time.

are you installing a amp? or a adapter for the factory system I discovered some things when I did mine, things like the factory amp outputs.

if you have the Bose system the factory amp filters the base output and splits the bluetooth audio/backup sensor beep/vehicle warnings into separate channels. Mine is not completely done yet I bypassed the factory amp and even using a 5 channel amp I don't have the backup sensor beep. I need to get the PAC adapter that will fit inside behind the screen that will split the channels up properly. I went with component up front and put the tweeter's here

it seemed like the most logical place to put them since the door harness is not like they used to be where you could easily fish a wire thru the boot and it needed to be connected to the crossover and I figured if I screwed it up that it would be easy to just replace the upper trim piece that goes around the window

I picked up a Zapco 8ch dsp z8. There are enough channels to run the dash, doors and sub. It has an aux input that I will use a dac or something to play music through. The plan is to run wire from the rockford fosgate 700x to the speakers in the doors. It is already ran to the dash.

I need to get the dsp running to do this though.

That said I got those 8-1/2 in the doors and just like custom offsets it "Fits" with cutting😂🤣🤪 the inner panel plastic a little bit. If someone is not interested in cutting for larger tires they would puke if they saw what had to be cut out to fit these.

That said looks just like factory when looking at the door. 🍻

I got his box as well, not the whole kit like yours, just the box and put in a Kicker CompRT 43CWRT81, hits really nice.

I installed the AmpPRO AP4-GM61 to get rid of the bass roll, used with PAC APH-GM02 AmpPro bypass haness, makes for a clean install. Running my setup off a Fosgate P1000x5. Put it on a plexiglass and bent(heated it to bend) the top so I can bolt it on via rivet nut to the back, worked out great. Runs my 4 doors and the sub great. I left the front dash to the Bose amp. I get chime and everything. You can adjust the chime loudness via Ampro AP4-GM61. I also mounted the bass knob in the center console, work great.

That pac is said to work with non bose. There's reviews on it and they say when using it for radio stations or phone it can be kinds wonky or noisy. Check YouTube for the reviews.

I haven't had any issue with Pac stuff, been installed for 2 years now. Phone works great and the little amount of radio listening I do, no issues, mainly stream.

Yup. Second picture in my post, you can see the amp where I connected the bypass harness to it.

Rock on man. The issues noted are with the factory non bose systems. I can look for the review on line that lays out the mild issue. Iirc. It wasn't too bad unless a guy is going after sound quality
