Finally got the new wheels and tires on my truck today.

On a side note, does anyone know of a good speedometer calibrator I could purchase?

I just went with the Rough Country calibrator because I didn't really want to get into all the tuning stuff. It was still a bit pricey at just over $200 but did what I needed. I have a Range AFM and between the 2 I'm happy. The RC calibrator can also compensate for rear end gear changes as well if needed. I have 275/60R20 tires on mine now from the stock 275/55R20. Surprisingly I set the calibrator to 32" tires instead of 33" and the speedo is perfect. Not sure why but obviously GM doesn't calibrate for the OEM 32" wheels for some reason...

Thank you. That is one I’ve been looking at.

Just a quick FYI, when I got mine, I plugged it into the truck and it wouldn't work. I don't recall exactly what message was but something about not working on my make and model truck. I thought maybe I got the wrong one. After further reading, I was supposed to hook it up to a computer and use the app to select my model truck as well as do an update. Once I used the RC app on computer, I selected the proper make and model and then after plugging in, it worked just fine.

I was reading that the RC calibrator also changes shift points. Is it a big difference? Does it make the truck more drivable or does it not make a big difference at all?

IMHO, I don't think it made a big difference. It seems to shift as it should. When I first changed to the 275/60's the speedometer read slower by a couple miles an hour than I was actually going and shifting did seem a bit off. Kind of hard to describe. After I did the correction, the speedo is pretty dead on as checked with a separate GPS and shifting seemed normal again.

Drop the truck off to get a 4/6 and black 22x10’s tomorrow actually. I’ll post back.

Black and red is definitely a great combo.  Definitely don't need chrome in the mix to look great.

Not sure if I'm going to keep them on long or not, but got a LED strip to run across the top of my grill. My son really likes it, so might keep it on for a while.. :D

has anyone swapped a (enhanced cooling)  NHT radiator into a non NHT truck?

a little research tells me the core size is the same but the tank is larger on one side so just wondering if it is still a direct fit or not or if i have to get a different trim piece or something, fans do not appear to be any different nht or not

How many miles did the first driveline last?

The engine had 36k on it before it got pulled out. 10-12k of that was boost with about 12psi. Get beat on ALLLL the time. When I pulled it, there was 0 issue at all. I pulled it because I wanted to turn it up and I had some down time since it was summer break.

The trans however, was starting to let go in 4th gear. We were making 750-800 and it started to slip then grab slip then grab.

The TC clutches was also slipping and not holding power on the dyno. So we did a few run at the end and it only showed 745 with it unlocked on the last pass.

The stock driveshaft was switched out to a HD one from performance driveline just cuz i knew I wanted to make some power and stock one aren’t so good and holding power and speed…

Engine went back in yesterday. All that’s left is putting the whole front end back in and all the pipings for the intercooler. Ohhh and redo the trans cooler. Gotta move it back up front, having it under the truck with its own fan wasn’t all that great. Temp was in the 180-200 all the time.
