Remote Start with no seat heat or defrost going

I'm looking to find out why my, 2011 GMC Sierra extended cab SLT 5.3, will not activate the seat heat or defrost blower when remote starting? I live in the northwoods of Wi.and it has been way below zero. Takes the guess work out of it not working. I have read the manual and said it should reconize weather. Hot/Cold ambient temp and a turn on heat or AC. is there a sensor thats out? Please help this boy get warm when its cold out. Oh, one more thing.. i also noticed that the remote would not work at all to start truck at 30 below. maybe it just likes to see me come outside and start it.

Is this the factory remote or the advanced remote?

sorry, Not sure what the diff is between them but it was installed at the factory.

Just to add a bit more info, it used to work when it was remote started. I just dont understand why not now, but the engine starts remotely. I'm wondering if the ambient air sensor went bad but its still showing the outside temp.
