Weird noise from heater fan

Recommended Posts

So today when I was leaving work I noticed that my fan on my heater was extremely loud.....I know normally it is loud when on full blast but this sounded like I had a generator running...It felt like the whole truck was shaking...It only did it on the highest fan setting and one down from the highest...and also did it in both heat and air....It did it through the entire drive home....There was a crap load of snow here today in Ontario...It has since stopped once I tried again after I shovelled my driveway....

Any thoughts on what it may have been?

Cheers

I had the exact same thing happen here this morning. It sounds like a jet airplane getting ready to take off in the 2 highest settings. There is a lot of snow here in Mich. also but I don't know what that would have to do with it. I'll check later to see if it's still doing it. I have to visit the dealer next week on another issue so I'll add this to my troubles.

This is my first post so sorry if I’m all over the place. I’ve had my 2014 Sierra slt for about two years now. I got it with 116k miles and I’m at about 174k right now. Since the day I’ve bought the truck it’s been nothing but issues. You name it, it’s happened. Four separate water leaks (sunroof, gps antenna, third brake light, and cab vents), 2 transfer case control modules, problems with the power steering going out, brakes going out at low speeds. A couple of months ago my transmission went out and it also needed various other repairs totaling over $20k. Now my park assist sensors don’t work, my rear doors don’t open from the inside and also don’t lock from the outside, reverse lights and camera don’t work, and it constantly dings at me to service my trailer brake system (seriously, it chimes at me about every two seconds as I’m going down the road, telling me to service the trailer brakes). I’ve gone through and checked every ground I can find and nothing helps. Today I went through every single fuse and relay in the truck. I found a couple of blown fuses and replaced as needed, but still no change. I’m at a loss for what to do at this point as I’m stuck with the truck after all the money I’ve sunk into it. Does anybody maybe have any solutions to any of these problems? I’m desperate for answers, anything helps.

So I just got a 2018 Silverado 2500 and am wondering if anyone has experienced this in there’s.

when I turn my truck off and then open and shut the door to make the radio turn off I can still hear what I can only assume to be the fan in the radio stay on. If I lock the truck it turns the fan off for a second and then it comes back on. If I push the power button on the radio it shuts off but again comes on. Anyone have any thoughts or does this happen in anyone else’s 2014-2019? It didn’t happen in my 2016 that had the same infotainment center that is the reason for my concern.

My 2019 trailboss has a rattling noise coming from the engine I hear it over the exhaust. (aftermarket) I don't hear it inside cabin. I only hear it outside also with the windows down. Dealership said its normal but it sounds terrible. Anything I can do??

I installed the 2in Rough Country leveling kit on my 2021 1500 Silverado Custom model and I am getting a clicking noise when I accelerate and decelerate from my passenger side. There is also a louder metallic click when I turn into a driveway and when my front right passenger strut is compressed. This began a couple thousand miles after my kit was put on. It is driving me insane and I can’t seem to figure out what is causing this noise, has anyone had this issue with their newer Silverado’s? Attached is a video that has the clicking sound when I was braking today. Thanks in advance.
