I sold my Jimmy in 2004 so I'm way foggy but do you have a new one? Compare the two and see where the bolt holes are. I want to say it has two or maybe three small bolts along the outside diameter.

Bolt is in the center of the tensioner spring case. There is a locator pin on the back to make sure it is installed in the correct position. The bolt head may be recessed on some models

Btw, some tensioners may have left-hand threaded bolt.......

The pin is on the back.

Here is your answer more than likely. Internal bolt possible with a torx head. This vid is not specifically for your application but answers a lot

Can you get a picture of the the tensioner and the bolt hole.

I messed with 88 and up s10/15 and haven't run into the problem your having, but they have been different tensioner design

I recently bought a Sierra 1500 Denali because I love this truck but I am now noticing parts are really hard to find, I want to replace or delete my quad steer but have no idea where to start or look. I haven't been able to find anything in hours. Any help?

Recently bought a leather steering wheel from a 2012 2500 sierra. I swapped it into my 2007nnbs silverado ls/base model. I've searched for hours trying to find the correct information on what I need to get the radio controls to work. The harness that came with the wheel had 1 more wire than the ls model did. Original harness had 6 wires. New wheel had 7 wires. Everything I looked up said the swap should be plug and play. But it is not. I need some help to know what I really need? New clockspring? Different harness? Harness behind clockspring? Or is it just not compatible at all? Picture is of new steering and harness that came with it
      Thanks everyone!

Good evening, I have 2020 Chevy Trailboss 1500 5.3 I recently ran into the issue of the water pump pulley breaking and wanted to see if anybody knows if it’s possible to just change out the pulley or would I have to change out the whole water pump?

Okay guys I bought this truck from a dealership in September. It was used and I got a 30 Day warranty. After the 30 day period, this is what’s happening. I got in my truck and noticed a rough idle. My truck would shake and out of no where the check engine light starts flashing and my traction control light comes on. I took it to my buddies and we got a P0308 Misfire Detected Cylinder 8. So I did some research.. I also had a code which was P219B. Air/fuel mixture ratio.

I changed the spark plugs.. didn’t work. I moved coil packs.. the misfire didn’t move. So we watched Live data on the scanner and injector 7 was acting up. So we replaced all the injectors on that side and this truck is still missing.. I’ve ran seafoam through it and cleaned the throttle body and MAS.  My buddy things I have a valve issue or something wrong with the cylinder…

there is no AFM deleted or anything of that sort. The truck has worked flawlessly until now. 135,000 miles on it. The rocker arms all
      looked great.

please someone give me something to try. I just want my truck fixed lol.

posting a link below of what it’s doing…

BLUF: Ticking noise under truck, not heard from top of engine compartment.

I noticed a ticking/clicking/pinging noise under my truck today, took a video, hopefully you can hear it.  Anyone else?

Truck was in Park and Neutral (Parking brake engaged) and still heard the sounds.
