Tucks in nicely.

3/4" space. Gonna fab up some aluminum dowels to wedge in there on both sides. Tap one end and secure with a fender washer.[/size]

Last photo "New bumper sits up against the bed" Could the bumper have been mounted further back? Maybe elongate some holes? Or could the bumper have been notched (and not show) for more clearance? My worry would be a light hit to the bumper would transfer damage to the box (which seem to dent easily)

Also, are you able to reach behind the bumper to wash the box corner? It bugs me I can't on my 2011 Silverado.

Sorry about the delay in responding.

No further adjustment back.

Even if it was to make a small indentation or rub slightly, I'm not worried about it. I think it's well worth the great utility of the step bumper.

I'll try to get another/better picture and post up.

Thanks guys.

Bumper was from a '14 1500 onto my '12 1500.

Bumper mounting points were a precise match. I could be wrong but the mounting points shouldn't have changed on the GMT900 series.

I could see it not working with a 2500 to 1500 attempt.

WAY worth the money for this easy upgrade.

I'm in the process of this mod, my truck is a nnbs Silverado 1500. The 14 bumper I have is off a Sierra. The brackets do not line up with the new bumper.

did you use the brackets of the old bumper? or new ones? I'm assuming new since there was no mention of swapping them.

any help is great thanks

I seem to be having a problem with mounting my 14 bumper on my 07.5 silverado. The inner brackets are hitting the bed and it's about 3/8" from the holes lining up. It seems as if the arms aren't long enough. Any suggestions? I should have taken a picture to show you what my problem is but I got frustrated and abandoned the bumper swap.
