6.0 Exhaust ideas/help

Hey y'all, I'm driving a 07 GMC 2500HD 6.0 and I want to put a muffler on it just for some good sound and I'm curious to see what you guys are running. I've don't know much in the way of this stuff so whether to buy a flowmaster, magnaflow or a large glasspack is beyond me. I don't mind it being loud but I don't want too loud if that makes sense.

I run a Flowmaster Delta Force 40 race muffler. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flo-8435439/overview/ It definitely isn't quiet by any means, but it doesn't have that raspy pop and crackle sound either. It truthfully sounds like an old muscle car, deep and throaty.

That actually does sound really nice and for the price, can't beat it. Did you install yourself or did you have a shop?

Had a muffler shop do it because I needed a short piece of pipe welded in too, charged me $60 I think. If you have the new body style 2007 truck that should be the muffler you need. It is the one I have and mine is a 2008.

The 18" magnaflow is a good fit. If you want more noise the 14"

I have the 22" Magnaflow on my 5.3 and really like it. No drone and it sounds the same as the shorter ones when you're accelerating.

Ah man... Well I'm no real help then. I believe those are dual in and single out, I'd have to search part numbers and OD of the exhaust.

I havent even looked. I just assumed it was single in and out but dual in single out is probably right.

The 99-07c trucks with a 6.0 are dual into the muffler and single out. Personally I would get tge MBRP cat-back for it

I've already looked. They don't make anything for Chevy/GMC older than 2011

Huh. Its weird they did it that way but hell, thats fantastic. I might as well save for that. Can't seem to find a video of one on a GM vehicle but they sound nasty on a Ram and Ford.

If I still had mine I would take a video for you. I got the 6.0 setup now and I was dead set on Corsa. I had the half ton system on. It sounded great. It was a smooth sound and got loud when you touched the fun pedal
