6.2 Exhaust, What do you have?

Recommended Posts

Some may find this interesting and other not so much. I was checking out the truck and here is what I found out on my truck. From the Cat to the muffler we have 3.5" exhaust. After the muffler and the famous valve we still have 3.5" exhaust going into the resonator. From the resonator the pipe is only 3" to the end.

To me it's not that big of a deal. I will be installing a GM Borla exhaust system on the truck. I have been told that the Borla exhaust system has 2- 3" tailpipes without the resonator so that should make it breathe a lot better.

I spoke to Borla about the gm exhaust and its like thier touring model & sound is close to stock, I got a email from Corsa stating that they will not be making a xtreme seires exhaust for 2014+ 6.2's

Ive been really annoyed trying to find a good exhaust. Borla guy on the was a deutch, clueless, totally not helpful, and talked me out of the gm setup, and said check back in a few months. Man I was scrathing my head after we hung up, do I really want to trust their product.

I was really looking for Borla ATAK setup for a 6.2 DC.

Everywhere you look you really wont find anything its all for the 5.3

If you get the GM setup please post a video so i can hear how it sounds, how easy istallation, additional HP etc..............

It would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!!!!! :driving:

I spoke with Borla today and they said the systems were ready for production, but they were waiting on the higher ups to sign off on it before they release it. He said they were supposed to have it ready last week and he couldn't make any promises on a date, but hopefully very soon. :fingersx:

Can you tell the difference with the audio system turned off?

(I'm assuming no noise cancellation with the audio turned off.)

Sorry about the questions, but I can't find one nearby to drive.

I don't think the noise cancelation stop with the radio off. Truck sounds good to me, not to loud and the wifey is ok with it. We can hold a conversation pretty easy and it is not much louder in the cab than stock.
