6.2 Exhaust, What do you have?

Wish I could cut out all my cats, but Commiefornia would throw me in jail and lose the key.

We have the strictest smog regulations, probably in the world.

The UCSR = Union of California Socialists Republic!

You could pack up and move to SD we have no smog regulation..here you could put headers on it and shoot them straight out the side of the front fenders with a gun rack in the back window..with guns of course!

It's so funny, everytime I drive to Vegas from California, right when you cross the border, all you see are billboards full of guns guns guns

Shows the drastic difference in the 2 states views

Well since I'm in California I couldn't do true duals and remove those cats. I did however get a flowmaster original 40 (pn 430402) installed on my 6.2 Sierra today. It's a single in dual out. It's not crazy loud but it does have a nice deep tone to it and brought the truck to life in my opinion. You can definitely hear it when you step on the pedal. I wish I could get something louder but with the regulations here I don't have many options. I still do prefer it over stock though, my truck finally sounds like it's supposed to.

The flapper valve was the one next to the stock muffler correct? If that's the one yeah I had it removed, let me get a picture for ya and I'll try to get a video clip.

Thanks so much for sharing that!

This is the first 6.2L custom exhaust video I've found.

That sounds killer! Love how you 45* the rear tips.

That's exactly what I want to do.

I've had many Flowmaster mufflers and always loved their deep throaty sound, but the cabin drone drove me nuts! Is there a way to get that Flowmaster sound without the highway drone?

Thanks man! It's hard finding some so I just said screw it and went with it. I knew the flowmaster would sound good, they always do lol. And the 6.2 definitely helps. As far as getting rid of drone it's almost impossible unless you get something like the range module. It disables your V4 mode and keeps it in V8 which gets rid of drone. I honestly have noticed the drone with the exhaust but it hasn't really bugged me. I've driven around town and on the highway and it's not that bad. With all windows up it's still pretty quiet in the cab, obviously nowhere near before but you can still hold a conversation well.

I'm kinda leaning towards going with a Magnaflow muffler and having some stainless pipes bent like yours. I want a mandrel bent system though, just gotta find a place that can do it. No manufacturer, be it Magnaflow/Corsa/Borla/Flowmaster seems to have a rear 45* system.

I really do not want that drone, after having a flowmaster on my old Silverado, I said never again, it was so irritating on the highway.

Just curious what this cost you? I really like the 45 duel look but not crazy about the idea of using a dronemaster

Also I'd anyone has installed the magnaflow 15318 please post a video or add a link to one that you've found

I just ran custom pipes with dual aeroturbine 3030's, nice throaty rumble at cruise but sounds like chewbacca with roid rage at WOT, I'm loving it
