Pictures of Ham & CB Radio & antenna install on 2014 Silverado

I need some ideas so I'm interested to see pictures of what anyone has done with any custom installations of Ham Radio, CB Radio and antennas on their 2014 Silverado.

I Bought my 2015 Sierra about a week ago and I have been working this over in my mind. I have the Console in the middle which I love. I think I have a solution but cant figure out how to get my wires into the console without too much damage.

I started an install of my yaseu ft8800 today. I installed the radio under the back seat in the bracket where the jack goes (jack going in tool box now). Got my wires run to the battery, but now I need to figure out how to hook up 12v.

 

Never seen a battery with so many posts to pull power from. If any one had experience with this, you input would be appreciated.

I took the empty post - to feed my second battery and that feeds my radio's ,warning lites . 2015 silerado ft-8800 control head on dash by "A" piller , 800 radio other side of dash , main units under back seat. ant.- dual band & 800 on roof. warning lites switches over head console.

Bought my 2015 last Saturday, and have been plotting the installation of my CB and antenna ever since.

Here's mine, maybe a little different then what's wanted but it works great with an excellent SWR. Just got to ground the antenna sense it's attached to an aluminum tool box.

good install . but you block your power outlet be hind the cover ?

No both outlets are uncovered.

A neat little bracket to mount the CB without drilling any holes is use the Hump Mount brackets, I saw on Amazon for $7.29. I used this in a few different trucks and it works great - very sturdy and does not slide around unless you hit giant bumps.

 

Go to Amazon and search:

PROCOMM JBC1000 Universal Hump Mount - Sawtooth design

 

And for me, I used Wilson 5000 Magnet mount Antennae, I put mine right in the middle of the roof. It worked great.

That's good to know, I had seen this before but couldn't find it. I was worried about it sliding but I'm glad to hear you have had good luck with it.
