Air Condition works when cool outside

Hello. I am having problems with my 03 Silverado 1500, 4wd, 4.8 V8. My air condition seem to work great when it is below 75 degrees outside. However, during the afternoon (when it is hot) it will work for a few minutes and the compressor kicks out. I have tried to jump the low pressure switch, I have changed the relay in the fuse box with no results. According the the gauges, the system does not have a leak. I have not ever had any problems with the air condition so I have not changed anything recently.

I did notice Saturday that the truck ran a little hotter while pulling my boat (around 215 degrees), don't know if it is related.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You said the gages do not show a leak but what about refrigerent and refrigerant oil level? Also how does your belt look? Radiator coils clean? Radiator fan turning? For the hotter running issue, how is your coolant level?

Refrigerent level is good. Have never changed the refrigerent since I bought the truck in 04. Changed the belt and flushed radiator about 3 months ago. Coolant level is good.
