Impressed by local dealer

Recommended Posts

I just bought my first GMC. I got rid of my 2007 Tundra. I really enjoyed it but was upset at how much they think they're worth now. I got a fully loaded Sierra and don't feel screwed over. I also just had the best experiance with dealer service as well. I bought the black Denali 22s from a cheaper online website. They were brand new from GM but far less than dealer pricing. Today I went to have them put on. The service manager came out to tell me one was manufactured wrong, was out of round noticeably, and had to be replaced. He asked if I got them from the dealer. I told him no thinking I was screwed. He then went on to say since it was new from GM that they'll warranty it and replace it on Monday. I couldn't believe that they would willingly take on responsibility and replace it. Is this a normal thing or did I find the best dealership ever?

From what I read on here a lot of folks would argue that this is not normal, but it Is what I have come to expect since my Chevy, Pontiac (yes, GMC) and Cadillac all treat me this way. This is what they should do, but unfortunately they all do not. Consider yourself fortunate.

You've found a good dealer, not all would do this. This dealership obviously values you as a customer like they all SHOULD.
