AirForceAngler Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 What is the benefit of replacing the TB Keys versus turning the up a bit? I haven't seen the F*rd key replacement installation, but it seems to me that it is still just twisting the bar a bit higher. Am I missing something? I may try to get an inch or 2 out of mine sometime, but probably won't try it until I'm ready for an alignment and I don't want to stiffen the ride up much, either. thanks.
dsmazz Posted March 1, 2003 Posted March 1, 2003 The advantage of using the Ford keys is to allow enough adjustment of the torsion bars, to lift the front of the truck level with the rear, and still have some adjustment left in the bolts. In some cases, I suppose, cranking the torsion bars to level the front of the truck, can result in running out of adjustment before you achieve the results you are looking for. Make sense? - Dave
AirForceAngler Posted March 1, 2003 Author Posted March 1, 2003 Yup, thanks! I hadn't looked under mine yet to see how much travel was left.
