I ran one last week off a light. Looked like he was tryin'.....motor revin', car jumpin', but I pulled ahead, and started pulling away.....I gotta tell ya, I was surprised. Also did the same thing with another Silverado......first light, the idiot pulls next to me and starts revin'....I'm thinking "Wife and pup in the truck, not gonna do it".....he hammers it from the light, chirping it thru the gears (guess it's a stick), Wife laughs.....next light, same thing.....except this time, we both launch......smoked him pretty bad and expected to hear the Wife b*tch.....but she just laughed "is he serious !"

Hell I gave a 94/95 Rustang V8 a good run for the money in my old 93 Caprice 5.7L which was much heavier and didn't have as much HP. No I am not talking about the LT1 derived V8 offered in the 94-96 Caprice and Impala SS, this was just the basic 350 V-8 in a police package(9C1) Caprice.

I had a 91 GT with bolt ons and 3.73 gears. i ran a 14.7@94mph (with mediocre driving) a bone stock 95, especially an automatic would be painfully slow. stock gearing was so bad! id bet on the truck.

I used to be into 5.0 mustangs, from the late 80s and early 90s. Those could easily be made fast with a few bolt on parts. But when Ford changed the body style in 94 the cars got heavier and they had to put a hard bend in the intake track for hood clearance. They were slower then their predecessors as a result. I often thought my 15 Silverado would take care of a stock 5.0 no problem. Let alone a 94 and up body style. I think your uncle would be dead meat!!! These new 5.3s with the 3.42 gears run strong!

O boy, another irresponsible person behind the wheel feeling the need to protect their ego with no regard for the well being of others.

Acting like an immature teenager who is out driving their daddy's car trying to impress their girlfriend is a great way to kill or seriously hurt an innocent bystander. It's very fortunate for you that nobody was hurt or killed during this act of extreme stupidity.

Keep the drag racing at the track where it belongs and where it's legal.

Acting like an irresponsible fool on public roads and putting everybody in the area at risk of serious bodily harm or death is never a good idea....... :nono:

I did take into consideration that it was a two lane road going in one direction....grass median on either side...plenty of room "just in case", so that limited the risk a bit. I know it belongs on the track, but just couldn't resist.....and it wasn't a 1/4 mile run...maybe an 1/8th....I wouldn't do this if there is traffic, or a lane in the opposite direction

What about Street Outlaws?

You do understand that is a TV show right? It's professionally produced and scripted by the Discovery channel just like all other "reality" TV programs. Discovery has gone to hell with all of the nonsense they come up with. There is really no "reality" in any of their shows, all of them are scripted to some point if not in their entirety.

Think about it, They follow a bunch of hillbillies who are supposedly making moonshine in the mountains and want you to believe that it's a real life ordeal. Following and filming people while committing hundreds of felonies, like shooting at people, using home-made explosives to destroy anothers property, all filmed for the world to see, yeah, that's all real life. Alaska Bush People, Moonshiners, just to name a couple. All fiction, all paid actors, not reality.

It's sad that so many people can not differenciate between fiction and reality. There are far too many people in this Country who believe everything they watch on TV, it's very sad and it's a huge problem with society IMO. Sorry to be the one to have to deliver the bad news but what you appear to believe is reality is about as far from reality as one can get.

Not really, I can just differentiate between fiction and reality. I also don't support illegal, irresponsible behavior that may put unknowing people in situations of severe danger or death due to actions of another.

No need for the filthy language either, this forum does not support that type of nonsense. If that's how you wish to post, you are in the wrong place. Try GMFS, they support that type of behavior.
