I got these torsion bars out of a 99 chevy 2500, I can get them up there but I have no travel whatsoever I have the green keys so I'm wandering what keys will make these bars work? Mine is a 2000 1500. Thanks for all the help.

Can you adjust it one lug on the control arm up front? Plus do you have the front end jacked up to release the tension of the torsion bar? Not to be insulting but do you have a C-clamp to press on the key? I'm not sure what you mean by no travel.

Well I used a ball joint press, basically what I mean by travel is when I set it on the ground my front end will not bounce up and down at all am I doing something wrong here? The weird thing is the keys I got from that 99 chevy are exactly the same as the ones in my 1500.

Again, I'm not trying to be insulting but do you have the bars on the correct sides of the truck? I'm just shooting out ideas. Do you have any pics of them fully installed?

I got this side all put together and the shock is maxed out and the upper a arm is on the stops, it's 39.5 inches from ground to bottom of fender. It has 245's on it.

Is it just me or shouldn't the key be farther into the crossmember? And yes front end is jacked up. No the jack stands are not under the a arms.

It looks like you may have them set a lug or two off in the front control arms. I'd try to take them back out and readjust the front of the bars in the control arms. Then adjust the keeper bolt in the back afterward to lift or lower. It looks like you have it maxed out up top and that will allow little, if any, down travel of the bar.

Make sure to come back and let us know how it goes. I'd be curious as I would love to upgrade a few things on my truck and this is one of the ideas I've tossed around before.

Ok I tried it in every position and the key still sits in the same spot if I move the key up and slide it on then I don't have any adjustment with my bolt in the back.

OK I got it, I had to swap sides. I put right bar on left side and Left bar on right side and it changed the indexing half a notch and worked slick.
