there it is, if you got a GM buy back for your chevy vibrator and could start all over, knowing all the problems these trucks have, would you buy another one after you fully checked it out to make sure it doesn't have any of all the known problems first?

would you take the risk of buying another 2014 Silverado or wait to buy a 2015 hoping its not got all the same problems, or go buy another brand altogether?

I originally wanted the Colorado but they quit making them so I bought my vibrator, now im thinking maybe looking into the new redesigned 2015 Colorado but scared as hell it will be no different then this first year 2014 Silverado problems

My answer is no way!

I have been a Loyal GM customer, but after the way I have been treated and lied too I would not buy another of these trucks out of principle alone.

I think this shaking issue is in the transmission/transfer case area and will remain until they get the new 8 speed up and running. So they are not going to do anything for those of us with the 2014-2015 early models.

There will be law suits soon, by the way GM has handled our concerns the customer. Denying there is a shaking problem and refusing to acknowledge this vehicle may have a safety defect. A new vehicle is not suppose to shake, and a radio is suppose to keep a signal.

Best of luck to those that have not started a buy back, and hoping they fixe it, or it gets better!

You sure you want to jump back into a GM first year model run? Just look what kind of issues the 2015 Car & Driver vet is having. Blown up motor already. Yep, another fine case of paying top dollar to beta test a first year run vehicle.

no I wasn't implying I had any intention to buy it, I was thinking out loud about what we can expect from the colorado

I actually bought my vibrator blindly based on passed chevy loyalty and years or rock solid trouble free trucks, whatever happened to those I wonder?????

would any of you consider buying a 2011 or 2012 or are those just as problem riddled as well?

last time I bought a truck was back in 1998 so I got blind sided and ripped off with this years vibrator

Every GM ive owed has been good so if I got a bad one id try one more. As long as they stand by them.

but that last part is the thing, they are running away from the 2014's saying "trucks are supposed to vibrate" how insane is that!

if they would just stand behind their product and say, "look we know we have a few vehicles out there with defects we cant remedy so we will buy back or replace those vehicles as needed" if they took this stance I would still be a life long chevy owner and buyer but to tell me im stupid and trucks are supposed to ride like massage chairs and make you car sick is a blatant slap in the face and screams we build crap now and refuse to stand behind it. this isn't just sour grapes because I own a bad one, its just the reality of the stance they are taking on this issue.

I still want to own a chevy truck but at this point I don't feel I can trust the product they sell and don't stand behind it if there is a problem.

I will be looking to see when was the last year their trucks stood at "normal" bed rail heights and were trouble free without a long list of things wrong with them and ,maybe buy a used one with low miles

I didn't like the rake on mine, so I removed the blocks in the back took me about an hour. They do that for air flow, for fuel mileage. I haven't had the vibration yet at 9k miles, yes that would be annoying. I buy my cars and trucks mostly at the same dealer so maybe they treat me better but so far no complaints.

GM doesn't need to produce a quality vehicle if consumers keep paying top dollar for their product.

GM's main objective: get the consumer to spend an outrageous amount of money on a vehicle, then warranty the vehicle just up to MTBF. Then GM shall keep fingers crossed the consumer will continue to purchase their product on the premise that if the vehicle has a GM badge, it must stand for perceived quality and reliability.

just left the dealer for service #4 for vibration and he said its a known issue for "some" trucks but GM has no recommended fix for it so they will call me when they know how to fix it, otherwise they consider it "normal" to vibrate

I asked him about the year dates they jacked up the trucks and he said it was started back in 2007 and up and got raised again an extra inch in the back around 2011 so if I want a normal height gmc or chevy truck I need to buy a 2006 or earlier one he said

I went through buy back and my new truck vibrates now too. About to swap the tires out and see what happens. Luckily I don't drive on the highway often but when I do it is extremely unenjoyable that's for sure

tires help to reduce how strong it feels but its not going to fix it because the tires aren't the problem, but properly balanced tires do help

I wonder what they will do with a second lemon case?

when you lemon lawed it, did you ask for a replacement truck or cash buyout?

I requested cash buyout and I will go buy a low mileage 2010 that doesn't have all these defects (that some poor sucker gave up to buy these lemons) and wait a few more years before I buy a new one again until they get things sorted out because the 2015's will have the same vibration issues since they claim to not know what the issue is or how to fix it.

personally I think they know what the problem is but its too expensive to fix so its cheaper to do buy backs on the few who go to lemon law and figure most people will give up trying to get it fixed and accept living with subpar trucks with defects
