1995 Gmc Yukon Help!

I couldn't find any where else to post this but I assume I can post a Yukon here seeing that it's basically the same thing as a Blazer.

Anyways, The truck is a 2 door yukon sle, and the carpet inside is wet in the back deck, under the back seats and did have mold in it some places.

The mold wasn't that bad my shop-vac seemed to pick it up alright, the water and moisture is what I'm worried about though. I can get the bulk of it up with the shop-vac but it stays damp.

Now what I'm thinking is to just pull out the whole carpet in there so I don't have to deal with it but carpet seems too expensive.

So I was thinking could I just leave it out? could I use carpet that you use from a house? or is there an alternative that is somewhat better and cheaper?

and also I was wondering there is a hole in the top of the fuel tank, Is that fixable or do I need a whole new tank?

Thanks, Robbie

You need a new tank

Where is the water coming from?

Honestly I think it got water in it at one point and never dried up. it's just always damp since I vacuumed it. But i was thinking when i pull the carpet out I could leave it bare metal for a few days and see if the moisture and water comes back onto the metal.
