Engine swap help LC9 - LY5

Recommended Posts

Hey there everyone, New to the forum and seeking help!

I spun a rod bearing on my oil burning 2008 Silverado 1500 LC9 @145,000kms (don't ask me how, I have no idea)

When it comes down to it I can not find a lc9 for a reasonable price up here in Canada.

However, I have found a low km complete LY5 for very cheap.

I realize they are both afm, but my previous LC9 has flexfuel.

I have never ran e85 nor will I ever.

That being said will the LY5 drop in place of the LC9 without wiring / programming / any issues?

I am in a bind and need to make a decision quickly. Thanks in advance for any help!
