BFG AT KO2

Recommended Posts

For those of you that switched to the BFGs and had vibrations with the Goodyear SRAs, did the BFG correct the vibration at all?

Can you comment on the ride quality of the BFGs vs the SRAs?

I'm also considering the Michelins Premier LTX.

I can't remember what was the largest size I could go up to with only a 1.5” front level. Was it 275-60-20? Basically 33s.

I've had it with the last remaining vibration in the SRAs and the obnoxious road noise/whining.

When I first put my K02s on, the worst tire had a 18 rf. The buffeting returned, albeit slightly. I took them back to my tire dealer who said that 25lbs was the rule of thumb for LT tires, but agreed to look after me. When he was done, 2 were replaced and the worst tire was 12lbs and the best 6lbs. My truck is nice and quiet.

For summer duty, I'll be replacing the stock Continental with "MICHELIN DEFENDER LTX M/S" since I have my K02s for the snow.

New KO2 in my 14' Silverado. 2 3/4" level kit and 1" higher in rear with blocks. Love the look and drive. Cant wait for some snow to test them out. In mud there not great but what tire is when its mud packed. 275/60/20

I have a 2.25" Pro Comp Leveling kit and 305/55/20 KO's. Smooth!!! No Rubbing. The KO's seem to be a bit narrower that other 305's. Love the look

I had to go out and double check my tires. They are all KO2, maybe the angle or something threw that pic off. But all good!

What's your lock to lock clearances between your swaybar and UCA and the tires? Do you think you could have gone one size bigger (305)? That's the big debate....285s or 305s on stock 18s. Could you put a tape on the tires to get a true tread and section width for me?

I think it looks great. How do you like the ride?

Looks great. I have those same style rims in 18 on my Sierra. How wide are those 305s by a tape measure?

I can get a measurement on the weekend for ya if you like. I played it safe and went with the 285's just in case.

I am very pleased with the ride comfort. Seeing I installed the RC 2.5" level at the same time. They are quiet, but its s stiffer ride now for sure.

I'd be interested to see if some 305/65/18s fit on stock wheels or maybe even +18 offset. If they do I might stay with 18's and not move to 17's like I planned.

Well I finally pulled the trigger and ended up getting the BFG KO2 for the GMT-900 2012 GMC Sierra. I opted for the 285/70R17 since I have the 2" lift up front. ended up getting them for $229 with a $50 rebate best price I could find. I opted to start at 45PSI up front and 42PSI in the rear. I noticed after going from my SUV Bridgestone Dueler tires that at 40PSI these seemed to be a little sluggish in response at that pressure.

Anyway here are the pictures.
