Live Radio Skipping....

I have had my truck for about 1 year now and I have had no major issues with it, just some minor stuff. like my but seat warmer stopped working and my seat has a little play in it on certain bumps but its not anything that is driving me insane. anyways about a week ago I was driving listening to HD radio LIVE and the music stopped and it sounded like back in the day when you were listening to a cd player and it started to skip or maybe the cd was scratched. I thought it was very odd, at first I thought it was the radio station having issues so I left it for about thirty seconds and nothing changed. so then I changed the channel and changed it right back to the station and it was fine. later that day same thing happened. well today it happened again and I recorded it on my phone so when I take it to the dealer I can show them instead of trying to describe it and they can say that it is working properly. today when it started to do the skipping and I was recording it I wanted to turn up the volume to make sure my phone recorded it and as soon as I changed the volume the skipping stopped.

I have a laundry list of minor issues with my truck that I need to be addressed including this one but I just love driving my truck so much that I don't want to give it up for a day or two or three or a week.

anyone else have this issue? not looking to diagnose the problem as that is what the warranty is for just curious.

I will try to upload the video sometime today so yall can hear it.

When you say skipping, is it more like the sentence being repeated? If so, your dealer will most certainly tell you your radio is "working properly" and mention or show you this,( PIC5854C ). Mine did it, not often, but it did that.

You more than likely need the software/new radio update. Don't take any of their (dealers) crap either. :)

Hard to tell but yeah, sounds like it is repeating, only a little more drastic than what I had going on. It was literally like a skipping record repeating the same sentence or words. Be OK for a few words then do it again. Very annoying for sure.

Being your truck is a year old, you definitely need the hardware/software update. Won't fix the HD completely, but should make a big difference. Did for me.
