Hi! So about 2 months ago my fuel pump went out. Had it replaced and right away we noticed sometimes it would crank but No start. After a few days the pump was defective, so replaced it again. Pump ran great with good pressure but after about a week or so, same issue crank but no start. Sprayed some starter in the manifold sometimes start, sometimes no. Turn key on/off to cycle and then sometimes start, sometimes no. Used the pressure valve behind the spider to bleed air/fuel then engine start fine. Would run fine for a couple days up to a week and then same thing all over again. Took it to local chevy. Diagnosed fuel pump, ... good to go they said, everything working properly. 2 days later No start and this time cannot get it to turn over, pressure is at zero. Pump is still turning on but not humming like it was. Replaced MAF and distributor cap as well as fuel filter. My local mechanic and I are stumped, and I'm already $1000 in on repairs. Please help!

The “No Start / Long Crank” event is a known issue with GM vehicles equipped with the new 3.0 Duramax diesel. To date, there isn’t a confirmed fix for the issue.

Okay so last year my ignition locked up & wouldn't let me turn the truck off. Well we finally got it turning but it would work without the key now. I was going to order a kit from ebay containing OEM GM door locks & ignition cylinder, but I found this cylinder in storage. So I was wondering if I could simply swap out the cylinders & if that would fix my issue? The ignition looks to be the same as mine so its around my era(89) of truck.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but haven't found it by searching yet.
Last weekend I was driving up the 395 and after filling up a tank of gas, tried to start my new truck (2021 w/ <4k miles). I pushed the start button once and the starter engaged with a weird cranking noise that continued until I re-pushed the button to stop it. Tried it two more times with the same result. A guy in an LT Trail Boss behind me heard the noise and walked over. He said its happened to him 3 times in 15k miles and that the only thing he could do was wait it out, try the unlock/lock buttons on the keyfob, and it would eventually work. Sure enough after about 3-5 minutes it started up.
Recall in the works? Anyone else faced this yet?

Hey y’all, new to the forum and to chevys here (used to drive an 84 Jeep CJ) and bought my K5 a few days ago
off the bat it came with a few problems the guy who sold it told us about, he said that the brake light bulbs would pop while driving, but we took it home (had someone drive behind us) and confirmed that we don’t have brake lights (the bulbs are not blown) or turn signals (front or back) and when we got home I confirmed that the backup lights and hazards (all four corners) do not come on either. And this didn’t happen when we first got it, but the morning after I found the interior light on and had to take the bulb out (wouldn’t turn off) in the fear of running out the battery
however, the taillights and the dailys (I’ve heard those little yellow lights on the sides called that before but I don’t know if that’s the proper term) do come on when the headlights are turned on.
ive checked the fuses for the brakelights and turn signals and nothing seems to be wrong with them, so I’m assuming there must be something wrong in the steering column, but I’m at a loss of how to go about fixing the problem, and I’d love to get some advice before i go about taking the thing apart or having a shop look at it.
anything is greatly appreciated, thanks!
