what is the deal with aug '14 build cut off?

i see some dealers list the HDs as built after aug 14 and some dealers don't specify. was there some sort of change that i need to be aware of when purchasing?

Did a few slight changes mid year, mirrors and wheels I believe. Nothing to big

WiFi hotspot added to the after Aug 14 build date and I think the Duramax package was created.

Duramax plus was on the early '15s as well.

Aug 14 is when they changed over to new wheels, new tow mirrors, new paint colors, WiFi hotspot, and Denali and High Country have painted OnStar antenna.

One thing also, is that these cosmetic things mean a lot to some folks, so pricing and discounts can be better for the pickups built before the mid year change. None of the cosmetic things meant much to what i was looking for, so I ended up buying a pre mid year version 2500HD. to some, these changes mean something, so they should target those later builds. Choices.... it is wonderful thing.
