driver side high beam not working, new bulb, new fuse. Help!

I've replaced the bulb and the fuse. I don't know what to do to get the high beam working again.

How does the plug end for the bulb look? They can melt or corrode and cause the bulb to not function.

Could be a disconnected wire behind the headlight, I had that problem with the low beam. Had to pull the headlight assembly out.

Well the thing is I took the old fuse out couple days ago and put in a new one, still didn't work. So I decided, don't ask why because I don't know, to put the old one back in and it worked for 2 days. I have since then tried that and no results. I'll look at the connector tomorrow when I get off work.

 

Was the disconnected wire directly behind the bulb?

At our shop, we found the plug-ins on the connector to the headlamp melts from the high heat. I bought a porcelain adapted pigtail assy from Ebay and they work great. Goes in between the headlamp and plug-in. You most likely have to replace the pigtail on the wiring side first.

You can buy service information from alldata or do as others suggest but I'm skeptical about the problem ,
