07 Yukon Denali XL new radio,cants get the theft lock disabled

07 Denali XL AWD 6.2 liter.......has tons of issues but for now the one that bothers us the most is the Nav/dvd player quit working.Bought a new one with the exact same numbers in every aspect.

 

We knew from reading online that a GM Dealer would have to clear the vin so the new radio could learn our vin.GM Dealer tried several times and say they tried several things.They claim the radio can not be programmed.

 

Can anyone point me to direction of the proper steps that need to be taken to have this new factory radio programmed to work in our truck?

 

I already posted in the Ask A GM Tech section.No luck.By viewing other threads on on the internet this should be a simple issue for a dealer to do.

 

What tools,hardware or programs should the dealer have to complete the task?

No need to post in more than one forum ,

I was able to get a new unit programmed to my '08. No reason they shouldn't be able to do it for an '07. The newer trucks would be problematic.

 

Don't know what else to suggest besides going to a different dealer.
